Row 6: purl Row 7: knit. BO purlwise. On opposite side pick up 12 sts for edge where buttons are attached. Work 7 rows St St, then BOpurlwise. Work one row single crochet across the top edge, and then one row crab stitch (reverse single crochet). Fasten off. Repeat these 2 rows for the bottom edge. Weave in all ends and attach buttons on edge opposite button holes.
