＊\*\* Mobi-Bobi \*\*\* Cell Phone or iPod Holder in Tunesian Crochet
Yarn: T'ika ( $100\%$ cotton, $83\mathrm{~m~}/\mathrm{~50~g~}$ $^{1\!}/2$ ball for the main colour and a little less for edging and strap colour. Hooks: Tunesian crochet hook $5~\mathsf{m m}$ and crochet hook 4 mm. Gauge: 20 st $:=10$ cm in Tunesian simple stitch.
How to make it:
With main colour and hook 5 mm chain 50 sts. Work 10 rows, forward and back, of Tunesian simple crochet stitch (or make the size required for width of the particular gadget). Cast of on a forward row using chain stitches.
The edge is made wit single crochet stitches. Make your starting point on one of the long sides, about 9 stitches from the corner. Work around and insert the hook in both strands of the stitch below to make a firm edge. At corners: make 3 sc in one place. At the last short edge make a buttonhole: make the corner and then 6 more sc. Chain 6 and remove the hook. Insert the hook in sc number 3 and crochet the chain in place. Make about 9 sc around the chain stitches of the loop. Then continue working the edge. At the end of the edge-round fold the piece and stitch together the front and back in just one place with a chain stitch. Do not break yarn but continue working the strap which is a simple cord of chain stitches about 60 - 80 cm's long. Consider making the strap with yarn doubled to make it stronger. Attach the strap to the other side with a chain stitch through both layers. Continue working this side of the holder together with sc through both layers. Insert hook in just one strand from each layer or the seam will be too chuncky. Do the same on the other side, finish by weaving in the ends securely. Idea: Make holes for headphone-wires if needed. It could be in the side or at the top, depending of the design of the cell phone / iPod. Sew in a cute or cool button.
