Materials:
Use whatever weight yarn and size hook that suits you. I don't think its important in toymaking to use a specific thickness of yarn. What ever you feel comfortable with. There is no gauge either. Using white and working in rounds Rnd 1: Work 6 sc in magic loop or ch2 and work 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook Rnd 2: 2sc in each st around (12) Rnd 3: 1sc in next st, 2sc in next st around (18) Rnd 4: 1sc in each of next 2sts, 2sc in next st, around (24) Rnd 5: 1sc in each of next 3sts, 2sc in next st, around (30) Rnds 6 - 17: Sc around (30) Rnd 18: 1sc in each of next 3sts, sc 2tog, around (24) Rnd 19 : Sc 2tog, around (12) Rnd 20: 1sc in each of next 2sts, sc 2tog, around (9) Rnds 21 - 24: Sc around (9) Rnd 25: 2sc in each st around (18) Rnd 26: 1sc in each of next 2sts, 2sc in next st, around (24) Rnds 27- 30: Sc around (24) Rnd 31: 1sc in each of next 2sts, sc 2tog, around (18) Rnd 32: 1sc in next st, sc2 tog, around (12) Rnd 33: sc 2 tog around (6) Fasten off Stuff firmly (especially the neck) and sew opening closed
Belly
Using white and working in rounds Rnd 1: Work 6 sc in magic loop (6) Rnd 2: 2sc in each st around (12) Rnd 3: 2sc in each st around (24) Rnd 4: 1sc in each of next 3sts, 2sc in next st, around (30) Rnd 5: 1sc in each of next 4sts, 2sc in next st, around (36) Rnds 6-12: Sc around (36) Rnd 13: 1sc in next st, sc 2tog, around (24) Rnd 14: Sc 2tog, around (12) Rnd 15: Sc 2tog, around (6) Fasten off Stuff firmly and sew opening closed
Feet (Make 2)
In white and working in rounds Rnd 1: Work 6 sc in magic loop Rnd 2: 2sc in each st around (12) Rnd 3: 1sc in next st, 2sc in next st around (18) Rnds 4 - 6: Sc around (18) Fasten off and leave long end for sewing
Arms (make 2)
Using brown, ch 12, Sl st in 2nd ch from hook, sl st in next 2ch, Ch 4, sl st in 2nd ch from hook, sl st in next 2ch Ch 4, sl st in 2nd ch from hook, sl st in next 2ch Sl st in next foundation ch, sl st in next ch Ch 3, sl st in 2nd ch from hook, sl st next ch, Sl st in remainder foundation chains. Fasten off and sew onto body.
Nose
In orange and working in rounds Rnd 1: Work 6sc in magic loop Rnd 2: Working in back loops from this point on, Sc around (6) Rnd 3: 1sc in next st, 2sc in next st, around (9) Rnd 4: Sc around (9) Rnd 5: 1sc in next 2 sts, 2sc in next st, around (12) Rnds 6 - 8: Sc around (12) Fasten off Stuff firmly before sewing onto face (look at picture for nose placement)
Eyes (make 2)
Using off white Rnd 1: Work 11hdc in magic loop, join with a sl st, ch2 Rnd 2: 2 sc in each st around (22), join with a sl st leaving a long end for sewing
Pupils (make 2)
Using black Rnd 1: Work 6 sc in magic loop, join with sl st and fasten off leaving a long end for sewing. Sew pupil into centre of eye. Using picture for eye placement sew eyes onto face.
Eyebrows (make 2)
Using black ch 5, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in following 3 chs. Fasten off leaving long end for sewing. Using picture for placement sew eyebrows onto face.
Buttons (make 3)
Using black Rnd 1: Work 11 hdc in magic loop, join with a sl st and fasten off Using picture for placement, sew buttons onto body
Mouth
Using black, ch15 Row1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, hdc, hdc, dc, dc, tr, tr, tr, tr, dc, dc, hdc, hdc, sc across, ch 1 Using picture for placement sew mouth onto face. You may have to stretch the mouth into shape while sewing it on.
Tooth
Using white, ch 4 Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch across, ch 1 turn Row 2: Sc across (3) Row 3: Sc across (3) Using picture for placement sew tooth onto mouth.
Hair
Usingblack ch10 Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 8 ch Ch 15, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 13ch, Ch 10, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 8ch, fasten off and leave a long end for sewing
