Size: Teens and Women's Medium-Large (Approx. 18 inches long plus calf-shaping) Child- 7-10 yrs Child instructions in Parentheses Materials: 2 balls of KnitPicks Palette: White or Cream. 1 ball of KnitPicks Palettw: Cyan One 16" #3 circular needle, five #3 DPNs (or size needed to obtain gauge), stitch marker, and tapestry needle Gauge: 32 stitches and 30 rounds = 4" using #3 needles. Abbreviations: K2TOG = Knit two stitches together. Instructions: Calf cuddlers are worked top down. Make 2. LEG: With circular needle, CO 96 (78) sts using White or Cream. Join to work in round, placing marker and being careful not to twist stitches. Knit 4x2 rib for 5 (4) inches. Knit it inside out, meaning 4 purl stitches followed by 2 knit stitches, so that when it is folded over finished cuddler, the front side will be showing. Follow chart A (B). On first stitch of round 1, K2TOG (Inc. 3 sts evenly around) so you will be working on 95(81) stitches, decreasing as specified and switching to DPNs when necessary. After round 79 ( 77), with 72 (69) stitches on DPNs, (Dec 15 sts evenly aound to work on 54 sts). work 4x2 ribbing for 2 inches. This time work ribbing from front side (4 knit stitches followed by 2 purl stitches.) BO loosely. Finishing: Tie and weave in or trim all color change ends at beginning and ends of rounds. Wash and block to fit.
