Glaucus Shawl Crochet Pattern by Benjamin Krudwig - Athena-Inspired Owl-Textured Design

Glaucus Shawl - Benjamin Krudwig

Pattern illustration

Glaucus was the name of Athena's owl in Greek mythology. I felt like this shawl emanated a sense of class and wisdom, qualities which Athena was known for. The shape is vaguely reminiscent of the textured wings of an owl. The shawl starts in a simple single crochet, then evolves into an undulating section, which blooms into a triple crochet fan-lace pattern. Though a bit of a challenge, this shawl is a quick project, taking only a few hours.
