Glaucus Shawl - Benjamin Krudwig

Glaucus was the name of Athena's owl in Greek mythology. This shawl emanates elegance, grace, and wisdom, qualities which Athena was known for. The shape is reminiscent of the textured wings of an owl. The shawl starts in a simple single crochet, then evolves into an undulating section, which blooms into a triple crochet fan-lace pattern, punctuated by rows of spike stitch. Though the pattern appears to be challenging, the repetition of motifs and combinations of simple stitches will make this shawl a new staple in your crochet repertoire.
