Pimlico hat
This little hat is knit inside out to minimise purling. It's an easy knit and easily modified whether you want a shorter beanie or more slouch. The sample knit is knit 18cm from cast on to decreases, this creates a small slouch. Sizes adult M and L. Materials Needles 4.5 mm, dpns or circular Approx. 125 m of DK yarn (55-60g) Darning needle Gauge 20 sts/10 cm (4") Finished measurements size L (after blocking) Measured flat (double) Bottom 22 cm Height 21 cm
Cast on
96 (108) sts loosely or with stretchy method. Join in the round, be careful not to twist.
Ribbing
\*k1, ptbl\* throughout the round for 4 cm (1V2")
Body
\*k5, ptbl\* until 18 cm (7") from cast on for a short slouchy, add another 2.5- 5cm (1-2") for more slouch

For size L (Size M skip to Rnd 3) Rnd 1: \*k4, p2togl tbl, k5, ptbl\* Rnd 2: \*k4, ptbl, k4 , p2tog tbl\* Both sizes Rnd 3: \*k3, p2togl tbl, k4, ptbl\* Rnd 4: \*k3, ptbl, k3, p2tog tbl\* Rnd 5: \*k2, p2togl tbl, k3, ptbl\* Rnd 6: \*k2, ptbl, k2, p2tog tbl\* Rnd 7: \*k1, p2togl tbl, k2, ptbl\* Rnd 8: \*k1, ptbl, k1 , p2tog tbl\* Rnd 9: \*p2togl tbl, k1, ptbl\* Rnd 10: \* ptbl, p2tog tbl\* Rnd 11: \* p2tog tbl\* until 9 sts remain Pull the yarn through all the remaining stitches and pull tight together. Weave in the ends and turn inside out. Block if necessary. Wear your hat and feel awesome!
