120 g Ullcentrum 2-ply wool yarn Needles size 4 & 4.5 mm/US 6 & 7
Pattern
With needles 4.5mm, cast on 36 st, divide evenly on needles and start knitting in the round Row 1: \*(k2tog tbl x 3), (yo, k1 x 6(, (k2tog x 3)\*, repeat \*\* Row 2-4: Knit Repeat rows 1-4 for 18 cm and end with row 1 Change to needles 4mm, knit 4 rnds and at the same time increase 1 st on needles 1 and 4 = 38 st On needles 4 and 1 only, work heel flat in stockinette st for 5 cm Decrease from the right side as follows: K11, k2tog, k1, turn Sl1, p3, p2tog, p1, turn Sl1, k4, k2tog, k1, turn Sl1, p5, p2tog, p1, turn Sl1, k6,k2tog, k1 Knit 1 more st every decrease until all st are done on both sides Pick up 9 st along the side of the heal, knit round on needles 2 & 3, pick up 9 st on the other side and work 2 rnds Start decreases on ea side of the heal: At the end of needle 1: knit until 2 st remain, sl1, k1, psso At the beginning of needle 4: k2tog Repeat the decrease every second rnd until 38 st remain Work until sock reaches over the little toe or measures approx. 22 cm or required length, then start decreasing for the toe: On needles 1 & 3: Knit until 3 st remain, k2tog tbl, k1 On needles 2 & 4: k1, k2tog, knit until end of rnd Repeat these decreases every second rnd x 3 times and then every rnd until 8 st remain Break yarn, pull it through the remaining st and fasten Soak the socks in hot water & felt a little, squeeze out the water and let dry
