designed by Adrienne Fong

Clue 1

We begin with a cuff and a bit more... Size: woman's small, med, large (7, 8, 9 inch ankle)

Materials

· 100 g fingering_ wt sock yarn (sample was knit in Invictus, Unconquerable Sole 400 yds/100 g) US size 1.5 (2.5 mm) needles or size needed to knit to gauge 40 size 8/0 beads (optional) (sample used Delicas) · Small crochet hook or Oral B Super Flosser for beads · CableNeedle Stitch Markers TapestryNeedle Gauge: 8.5 sts & 12 rows/inch in stockinette, using 2.5 mm needles

Finished size for medium:

7-1/2 inches leg circumference, blocked and relaxed 7-1/4 inches foot circumference, blocked and relaxed 6-3/4 inches leg length

Notes

Row gauge is important if you wish your finished sock to be similar to the sample. When more than one number is given, the first applies to the small size, the second to the medium and the third to the large. The size of the sock can be adjusted by using a smaller or larger needle for a different gauge. To attach bead using a crochet hook: You will need a small hook that will fit through bead hole. When you reach the stitch for BEAD, slide bead onto shaft of crochet hook. With yarn held in back, slip st off needle and catch with crochet hook. Slide bead onto stitch, slip back onto left hand needle, then knit. The bead is now attached. To attach beads using Super Floss: http: //chaosvortex.blogspot.com/2009/09/i-try-beading-withdental-floss.html German Twisted Cast On: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BfFadEumBak
