Modeled after the jersey sleeve of my boyfriend's favorite team. If you promise not to tell him, you could make it in your own team's colors. Yarn: worsted weight yarn 66yds/60g black 36yds/32g gold 9 yards/8g white Sample hat knit with Knit Picks Swish Worsted in Black, Semolina, and White. Needles: Size 7 needles for working in round, or size needed for gauge Gauge: 17sts per 4 inches in stockinette Sizes: [S, L]. Hat is moderately stretchy. Small will fit 2112 inch head, Large will fit 2312 inch head.
Instructions:

↑ Cast on [84, 96]sts in gold using a stretchy cast on Work (k3,p1) ribbing in gold for 1/2 inches Knit 1 round black ←Knit 4 rounds white Knit 1 round black Knit 4 rounds gold Knit in stockinette in black until 6 inches from cast on edge or until desired length Place marker after every 12 stitches (Knit to two stitches from marker, k2tog) for 1 round then knit 1 round Continue decreasing on alternate rounds until [28, 32] stitches remain +Decrease every round until [7, 8] stitches remain ←Cut yarn and run through remaining stitches on needles and pull tight. Weave in loose ends.
