Waffle's Waffles
My sister Laura has a good friend named Laura who spent the weekend at our house once last summer. Because I thought that having two people named Laura around would get very confusing very quickly, I assigned them the nicknames Waffle and Flapjack.

Model: Laura "Waffle"Becbard Pbotos: Jessica Becbard Materials - stitch marker - Knit Picks City Tweed HW; - yarn needle color: Lemon Curd; 1 skein Gauge - size 9 circular needle (16 inch) 16 stitches/24 rows $=4$ inches in - size 9 DPNs St st I still sometimes call my sister Waffle. When I found the Twisted Wafle stitch, I said to myself, "I know a Twisted Waffle," and decided that I had to make something for Laura using this stitch. This yarn is fairly bulky, so the hat is very thick and warm; great for spending hours ice skating or running a late-in-the-season cross country meet or just getting in the mood playing Wii hockey.
