Simple knitted tunic dress
Designer: Edith O'Regan.

This is a pattern for a simple machine knit tunic dress. It has a picot hem and stocking stitch body. It has two rows of single crochet around the arm holes and neck. Have a look on youtube for really useful instruction videos. I have stitched on some crochet flowers again have a look on youtube for the instruction videos. I have included a pattern for a standard gauge flatbed machine and a Bond classic knitting machine. The texture from the Bond is looser (purple bodice and pink skirt) and may be better with needle plate 1 but you'd need to rework the gauge for that. The yarn in the photos is a sparkly double knit yarn from Aldi, I had no hand in that decision. Two pairs of little hands placed the wool in my shopping trolley without any discussion. My four year old twins insisted that I make pink and purple 'shiny' dresses with it and this was the result. The seem to be happy with their 'bootiful desses'. What more could any knitter ask for! This is my first pattern so please make allowances for any errors. It's not an exact pattern more of a template to allow you to create your own version of this very useful dress
