This Hat is a simple and fast colorwork hat, knit in the round, using two colors of bulky yarn, perfect for those really chilly days and for a last hours project. -bulky weight yarn, samples knitted from Nako Sport Wool (25% wool; 75% premium acryl, 131 yards [120 meters]/100g) - Color A - 60 (70) m /Nako Sport Wool color 3718/ - Color B - 21 (25) m /Nako Sport Wool color 10639/ -US size 10.5 [6.5 mm] 14-16" [36-40 cm] circular needle /or double pointed needles/, or size needed to obtain gauge -US size 9 [5.5 mm] 14-16" [36-40 cm] circular needle /or double pointed needles/ for ribbing -Stitch marker for marking end of round -Tapestry needle for weaving in ends

Gauge:

14 sts & 18 rows = 4" [10cm] in stockinette sts with one color which might work like 16 sts & 16 rows = 4” [10cm] in colorwork.

If you make a toddler hat knit until 5,5 inches, if a child hat until 6 inches, 14 for smaller and 15 inches for larger adult head.

Finishing:

Draw yarn through remaining 14 (16) sts twice. Cinch tight. Weave in all loose ends. Wash and block the main pattern of it slightly for a smoother looking colorwork (not the ribbing). Secure a pompom on the top if desired.
