Weihnachtsengel
Die Engel konnen mit vielen verschiedenen Garnen gestrickt werden - wichtiger als die Maschenprobe ist die Freude am Stricken! Meine Engel sind gestrickt mit Grundl Wolle ,Miami" (50g/120m) in der Farbe 10 und 09 (weiss und natur) 55% Baumwolle, 45% Acryl. Fur die Flugel, goldiges und/oder silbriges Garn (hier Madeira ,Lamé", 65% Viscose, 35% Polyester), nach Wunsch zusammen mit einem weissen, ev. flauschigen Garn. Die Engel auf den Bildern sind9cmhoch. Das Muster fur den Engel ist die ,Ubersetzung" der Häkelanleitung von Quick and Easy Christmas Ornament von Roswitha Mueller - liebe Grusse nach Wien! Die verkurzten Reihen der Flugel sind in Anlehnung an Ten Stitch Wave von Frankie Brown? gearbeitet - liebe Grusse nachGrossbritannien!
Engel - Korper
Anschlag:
48M auf 4 Rundstricknadeln (12M pro N)
Muster:
1) 2R re stri 2) auf jeder N die ersten beiden M re zus stri 1) und 2) wiederholen bis noch 5M pro N ubrig sind (20M) 3) 4R re stri; dann auf zweite Farbe (nature) wechseln 4) 7R re stri 5) auf jeder N die ersten beiden M re zus stri 6) 2R re stri 7) auf jeder N die ersten beiden M re zus stri 8) beim Farbwechsel (Hals) abbinden, den Kopf mit Fullwatte ausstopfen. 9) Faden abschneiden, Menge der Fullmatte kontrollieren, Faden durch alle M hindurchziehen und zusammenziehen.
Flugel
Die Flugel werden in verkurzten Reihen gestrickt - am Ende jeder Reihe wird das Garn auf folgende Weise um die nächste Masche gelegt (abgekurzt als w&t): Garn vor die Nadel legen, die nchste M wie zum li stri abheben, Garn wieder nach hinten legen, die abgehobene Masche wieder auf die linke Nadel zurickgleiten lassen, Garn wieder nach vorne bringen und Arbeit wenden. Eine Rippe entspricht einer Hin- und Ruckreihe. 9M anschlagen Rippe1: 8M re stri, w&t, 8M re stri Rippe2: 6M re stri, w&t, 6M re stri Rippe3: 4M re stri, w&t, 4M re stri Rippe4: 2M re stri, w&t, 2M re stri Rippe5: 4M re stri, w&t, 4M re stri Rippe6: 6M re stri, w&t, 6M re stri
Rippe1-6 so oft wiederholen, bis die Flugel die Form haben wie im Bild.
Fertigstellen:
Alle Fäden vernähen. Die Flugel an den Korper annähen, nach Belieben Gesicht sticken und Heiligenschein aus dem goldigen oder silbrigen Garn flechten oder häkeln. Faden zum Aufhängen der Engel hinzufugen.

Christmas Angel
The angels can be knitted with any yarn - enjoying the knitting is far more important than getting any specific gauge! Mine are knit with Grundl ,Miami" (50g/120m) colours 10 and 09 (white and beige) 55% cotton, 45% acryl. The wings are knit with gold or silver yarn (mine is Madeira ,Lamé", 65% viscose, 35% polyester), if you wish take two strands and add a white, maybe fluffy yarn. The height of the angels in the pictures is 3.5in (9cm). The pattern for the angel is a transfer of the crochet pattern Quick and Easy Christmas Ornament by Roswitha Mueller - kind regards to Vienna! The short rows I used for the wings are in the style of Ten Stitch Wave by Frankie Brown? - kind regards to the UK!
Angel - body
Caston: 48 sts on 4 double pointed needles, join stitches in the round (12 sts per needle). 1) knit 2 rows 2) on every needle, knit the first two stitches together Repeat 1) and 2) until there are 5 sts left per needle (20 sts in total) 3) knit 4 rows 4) continue in second colour (face), knit 7 rows 5) on every needle, knit the first two stitches together 6) knit 2 rows 7) on every needle, knit the first two stitches together 8) Atthe colour change, tie a piece of yarn around the neck and fill the head with stuffing. 9) Cut the yarn, make sure the amount of stuffing is sufficient, pull the yarn through all the stitches and tighten it.
Angel - wings
The wings are knit in short rows - the yarn will wrapped around the last stitch in the middle of each ridge (abbreviated as w&t): Bring the yarn forward, slip the next stitch purlwise, take the yarn back again, replace the slipped stitch on the left hand needle, bring the yarn forward again and turn the work. Cast on 9 sts. Ridge 1: K8, w&t, K8. Ridge 2: K6, w&t, K6. Ridge 3: K4, w&t, K4. Ridge 4: K2, w&t, K2. Ridge 5: K4, w&t, K4. Ridge 6: K6, w&t, K6.
Repeat ridges1-6 until the wings look like in the picture.
Finishing:
Weave in all ends. Sew the wings to the body, at discretion: embroider a face and/or crochet or braid a gloriole with gold or silver yarn. Add a hanger.
