Materials: Approx. 1%2 a skein of worsted weight yarn in MC and Approx. 2 yards of cc Size 8 circular and DPN knitting needles Stuffing Stitch Marker Abbreviations: DS - Duplicate Stitch K - Knit K2tog - Knit two together CO - Cast On MC - Main Color CC - Contrasting Color Rnd - Round St - stitch Pattern: Cap (make two): CO 60 onto Circular needle in Mc, Place stitch marker and join in the round Rnd 1) Knit Rnd 2) \*K6, K2tog\* repeat from \* to \* until 4 st remain, K4 Rnd 3) Knit Rnd 4) \*K5, K2tog\* repeat from\* to \* until 4 st remain, K4 Rnd 5) \*K4, K2tog\* repeat from\* to\* until 4 st remain, K4 Rnd 6) \*K3, K2tog\* repeat from\* to\* until 4 st remain, K4 Rnd 7) \*K2, K2tog\* repeat from \* to \* around Rnd 8) \*K1, K2tog\* Repeat from \* to \* round Rnd 9) \*K2tog\* repeat from\* to \* around Rnd 10) \*K2tog\* repeat from \* to \* aound Cut yarn and pull tightly through remaining sts. Block pieces to a total of 6" in diameter. Take one of the pieces and, with stockinette st side showing, duplicate stitch the following (use picture as a guide).
Finishing: With right sides facing whip-stitch sides together leaving a small opening. Turn right-side out and stuff firmly. Whip-stitch opening closed. flatten and mold slightly to make the "mushroom cap" shape. Enjoy!
