It is formed by one increase on each edge and one increase on each side of the center spine, made on every right side. Therefore there are 4 stitch increases on each right side row. There is a garter stitch border formed by always knitting the first three and the last three stitches. All the wrong side rows are worked k3, p to 3 sts from end, k3.

center stitch
Modularity
Section A is always knitted once. You can make as many repeats as you wish in other sections or skip one section and move to the next one. In the original shawl sections B, C and D are knitted twice.
Notes
· The charts show only one half of the shawl and don't include the garter stitch edge or the center stitch. · When following the charts, k3, knit the chart from right to left, knit the center stitch, knit the chart from right to left again and k3. . The pattern in the shawl is asymmetrical. · When the pattern mentions stitch marker, it is the stitch marker before the center Stitch. · The center stitch is bolded. . The beads are added on the next stitch using crochet hook or other method before knitting the stitch. . The places of the beads are shown in the picture below.

For left handed knitters
If you are a mirror-knitter (you knit from the right needle to the left hand needle) you can knit the shawl following the written instructions without any changes. If you want to use charts it's recommended that you read the charts from right to left using the same chart key. As the shawl is asymmetrical, your shawl will be a mirror-image of the shawl in the pictures.
