Less is more
a simple scarf worked in the round using lots of knit stitches and some ,tufts of grass' to prevent the project from being boring..

Using a short circular needle and a lace yarn you really love cast on 150 sts. Join to work in the round. Knit 10 rounds. Continue working stockinette stitch and place a ,tuft of grass" wherever you like (...less is more..) When you run out of yarn or when you think your scarf is long enough: Bind off, wash, block and weave in the two ends.

Tuft of grass:
Insert right needle between 4th and 5th stitch of your left needle and 5 rows below → create an additional knit stitch (don't pull to tight - this should be an elongated stitch), \*knit 2 stitches, insert needle again into the same hole as you did before \* work from \* to \* 4 times altogether (→ 5 elongated stitches, always two knit stitches in between) In the following round knit to the stitch before the first elongated stitch. Work \* knit two together, knit one \* 5 times altogether. Continue working stockinette stitch..
