Size 6/3. Article 950 is available in Single Balls, 6 - Pack of Balls and Cones. Balls contain approximately 3 oz and 315 yards. Single Cones contain approximately 1680yards. Size D/3 (3.25 mm.) crochet hook, or size needed to achieve gauge Tapestry needle 24 inches 12" ribbon for drawstring Gauge: 22 sts & 24 rows = 4" in single crochet rib on size D/3 (3.25 mm) hook Pattern notes: Work in back loop only of each single crochet throughout to create the ribbed look of this project. Colors are changed every 2 rows to form rainbow stripes. Cut and rejoin colors asneeded. Eyelets for drawstring are created on Row 5. . good idea to count stitches every row to maintain stitch count of 50 s( Special stitches: BLO (back look only) - work single crochet in back loop of each stitch. Abbreviations: beginning (beg), chain (ch), each (ea), fasten off (FO), hook (hk), repeat (rep), single crochet (sc), skip (sk) Bag Row 1: With Color A, ch 51, sc in second ch from hk and in ea ch across; turn (50sc) Row 2: Ch 1, sc in BLO of first sc and in ea sc across, changing to Color B in last st; turn. Row 3: Ch 1, sc in BLO of first sc and in ea sc across; turn (50 sc) Row 4: Ch 1, sc in BLO of first sc and in ea sc across, changing to Color C in last st; turn. Row 5 (eyelet row): Ch 1, sc in BLO of first sc and in ea of next 5 sc, ch 2, sk next 2 sc, sc in BLO of next sc (eyelet formed), sc in BLO of ea sc to last 8 sc, ch 2, sk next 2 sc, sc in BLO of next sc (eyelet formed), sc in BLO of last 5 sc; turn. Row 6: Ch 1, sc in BLO of first sc and in ea sc and eyelet ch across, changing to Color D in last st; turn (50 sc) Row 7: Rep Row 3. Row 8: Ch 1, sc in BLO of first sc and in ea sc across, changing to Color E in last sc; turn. Row 9: Rep Row 3. Row 10: Ch 1, sc in BLO of first sc and in ea sc across, changing to Color Ain last sc; turn. Row 11: Rep Row 3. Row 12: Ch 1, sc in BLO of first sc and in ea sc across, changing to Color B in last st; turn. Rep Rows 3-12 twice. At end of last row, do not change color but continue with Color A for side seam. Finishing: Fold bag in half with right sides together and eyelets aligned at one end. Seam side of bag with slip st through both thicknesses. Fasten off and cut thread. Rejoin thread at other side of bag and repeat slip st seam. Weave in all tails. Turn bag right side out. Drawstring: Beginning and ending at one side seam, weave ribbon through eyelets (Note: after weaving through eyelets, bring ribbon ends through from inside of bag to outside at side seam about 1/4" away on either side of seam.) Tie loosely to pull bag closed, then tie ends of ribbon together in a knot about 1" from ends. Trim ends with diagonal cut.
