1 ball of super bulky weight yarn (approximately 100 gr. // 54.7 yds) 1 set of size 9 mm // US 13 dpns or circular needles at least 40 cm / 16" long 1 stitch marker 1 tapestry needle

Size
Pepe Chunky Hat is stretchy and fits an average woman's head circumference (52-56 cm // 20.5-22")

INSTRUCTIONS
Cast on 44 sts using a set of four size 9 mm / US 13 dpns . Divide sts evenly on needles (11 sts per needle) for working in the round and place marker on first st. Note: Pattern can instead be knit on circular needles using the Magic Loop technique (in which case you'll have 22 sts on each needle).
Hem
Work 10 rnds in rib 1x1 - or until piece measures approximately 7.5 cm // 3" from cast on edge.
Body
Start working in stocking st, at the same time increasing 4 sts evenly across 1" round, as follows: \*k10, k1 f&b\*, rep. across round [48 sts are now on needles] 3 working in stocking st until piece measures approximately 15 cm // 6" from cast on edge
Crown
Begin crown decreases, as follows: rnd 1: \*k4, k2tog\*, rep. across rnd [40 sts left on needles] rnd 2 and all even rnds: knit all sts across rnd rnd 3: \*k3, k2tog\*, rep. across rnd [32 sts] rnd 5: \*k2, k2tog\*, rep. across rnd [24 sts] rnd 7: \*k1, k2tog\*, rep. across rnd [16 sts] rnd 9: k2tog across rnd [8 sts]
Finishing
Cut yarn leaving a 10 cm // 4" tail. Using a tapestry needle, thread tail through live stitches and pull tight. Weave in all loose ends.
