Toe:
Using a Figure 8 cast-on, begin toe with 16 Sts. N1: 8 bottom of foot sts N2: 8 insole of foot sts
Shape Toe :
Row 1 : \*K1, KFB, knit to last 2 stitches on needle, KFB, K1\* each needle Rnd 2: Knit. Repeat Rnds 1 and 2 until there are 72 total sts, 36 on each needle. Pattern Note : C4B - slip 2 needles onto a cable needle and hold to back of work, work next two stitches on left needle, then the 2 stitches from the cable needle. C4F- slip 2 needles onto a cable needle and hold to front of work, work next two stitches on left needle, then the 2 stitches from the cable needle.
Foot:
Work instep in pattern as follows, sole in stockinette. Row 1 : Knit Row 2 : Knit Row 3 : \*C4B, K4, C4F\* to end Row 4 : Knit Row 5 : Knit Row 6 : Knit Row 7 : \*K2, C4F, C4B, K2\* to end Row 8 : Knit Continue working in rnds until foot

Snake Skin Cable This cable uses up a lot of yarn fast. You might need a third skein if using Koigu or Louets. measures 3.5 inches less then desired length from tip of toe. Complete insole stitches.
Shape Gusset:
Rnd 1: Heel: K1, KFB, work to 2 sts from end, KFB, k1. Instep: Work even. Rnd 2: Work even. Repeat rows 1 and 2 a total of 14 times. 100 total sts. When working the last knit row on heel, K14, PM, K36, PM, K14 The center stitches are the heel, the out side stitches become the gusset.
Short Row Heel:
Work over 36 stitches between markers. Rw 1: (RS) K34 sts, wrap the next st. Turn. Rw 2: (WS) P32 sts, wrap the next st. Turn. Rw 3: K30 sts, wrap the next st. Turn. Rw 4: P28 sts, wrap the next st. Turn. Rw 5: K26 sts, wrap the next st. Turn. Rw 6: P24 sts, wrap the next st. Turn. Rw 7: K22 sts, wrap the next st. Turn. Rw 8: P20 sts, wrap the next st. Turn. Rw 9: K18 sts, wrap the next st. Gusset Decrease:
With RS facing,work back and forth as follows: Rw 1: \*Sl 1 purlwise, knit to last st marker, pick up wraps and knit together with the st. when you get to them, knit last st together with next gusset st. Rw 2: Sl 1 purlwise, purl to marker, knit last st together with next gusset st. Repeat these 2 rows until all gusset sts are worked, ending with Row 1. Begin working in the round again.
Leg:
Work leg in pattern over each needle for 64 rnds.
Cuff:
\*k1b, p1\* (twisted rib) to end for 16 rows.
Finishing:
Bind off cuff using sewn bind off.
