SHAWL BODY
Cast on 166 stitches. Row 1: (WS) P6, \*k2tog tbl, wind yarn twice around needle, k2tog, p6; rep from \* to end. Row 2: K6, \*p1, p into first made stitch and k into the second, p1 k6; rep from \* to end. Repeat rows $\mathbf{I}^{-2}$ until work measures 9 inches, and the last row you knit is a RS row.

FINISHING
With a tapestry needle, sew approximatly 2 inches at side seams. (The sides can also be left open if you prefer this look.) Weave in loose yarn. Thread decorative ribbon along neck opening. Enjoy!
