{Owl Purse Pattern}
What you need:
Cream Yarn ( Lion Brand Medium 4) Dusty rose pink yarn ( red heart) Boardwalk multi cotton yarn by sensations (6 0z) Aruba blue yarn ( red heart) multi cotton yarn by sensations (6 0z) Thin white brushed yarn or mohair US H8/5.00 size hook 2 black buttons Small rosette , ribbon or fabric flower of your choice Yarn needle
Special Notes:
All ch 2/3 count as your first sc, dc, hdc etc.
Abbreviations
● Ch(s) - Chain(s) ● sl st(s) - Slip stitch(s) ● dc(s) - double crochet(s) ● YO - (yarn over hook) ● sp(s) - space(s) ●hdc(s) - half double crochet(s) ● Sc - single crochet(s) {Bag} working in rounds · Take your white and multi yarn , combine and roll into one ball( this will prevent tangling when making base of purse) Rd 1. Ch 22, in 3rd ch from hook dc, continue 1X in each sp across. In last sp dc 2X, continue around to other side, dc 1X each sp across. Join w/ sl st (40 total) Rd2-11. CH 2, hdc 1X each sp around, join w/ sl st (keeping rounds of 40)
Cut & join Aruba yarn
Rd 12-17. CH 2, hdc 1X each sp around, join w/ sl st (Keeping rounds of 40) {Set Aside} Cut & tie off
{Large Eyes} working in rounds
Rd 1.Using rose pink yarn Ch 3, in 3rd ch from hook dc 9X, join w/ sl st (10 total) Rd 2-3. Ch 2, dc 2X in each sp around, join w/ sl st (20 total) cut 12" tail of yarn, YO pullthrough hook loop tight. Rd 4. Using multi yarn, work in outer post, hdc in each post around, join w/ sl St.{Set Aside} Repeat Rd 1-3 for second eye.
{Small Eyes} working in rounds
Rd 1. Using cream yarn Ch 3, in 3rd chain from hook dc 9X (10 total) join w/ sl st. Rd 2. Ch 2, 2X dc each sp around join w/ sl st (20 total) Rd 3. Ch 2, sc 1X each sp around, join w/ sl st (20 total) {Set Aside} Repeat rd 1-3 for second eyes
{Shoulder Strap}
Rd 1. Using Aruba yarn. Ch 100, in 2nd Ch from hook hdc, Hdc 1X in each sp across. Join w/ sl st , tie Off.
{Assembly}
Pin each small cream eye to each large eye.
Sew tight, add black buttons using cream.
Pin eyes to front of bag & sew tight.
Sew smallflower to top corner of bag, sew shoulder strap in on each corner of bag.
