Slip Stitch Fingerless Gloves

This pattern is super simple and easy! Great for beginners! Made completely of slip stitches! It makes a wonderful ribbed pattern for texture and makes a nice warm glove.

Materials:

- J/6.0 Hook - Stitch Marker (optional) - Ww yarn - Tapestry Needle - Scissors Gauge: 7 sts x 10 rows = 1.5" in slip stitch This pattern as written will make gloves that will fit an adult with a 8" palm. Ch - Chain BLO - Back Loop Only Sl st - Slip Stitch St Marker - Stitch Marker Sk - Skip FO - Fasten Off R - Row/Round

Tips & Tricks

1. It is very important to keep your slip stitches loose! 2. Ch 1 in the pattern does NOT count as a stitch. 3. When finished your glove will look small. Don't worry it will stretch nicely over your hand creating a nice ribbed texture. 4. This pattern can be easily changed to fit different sized hands. To adjust the length ( your glove either add/remove chains at the beginning of the pattern. To adjust the wic (around hand) add/remove rows until you reached the desired size.

KI: Ln 5I, turn, SI st across. (5U) R2 - 35: Ch 1, turn, in BLO, sl st across. (30) R36: Ch 1, turn, in BLO, sl st 7, ch 8, sk 8, sl st 15. (Thumb hole made) R37: Put R1 and R36 together to make a tube. Sl st together by inserting hook into back loop of R36 and remaining loop of R1, repeat down the row and in each chain of thumb hole to the end. Fo. Weave in ends. Your finished rectangle before slip stitching together will measure 7"x 5.25" Your finished tube after slip stitching together will measure 7" x 3"

R1: Attach yarn anywhere in thumb area with a sl st, continue to sl st evenly around the entire thumb hole, do not join, you will be continuing in the round, use st marker if needed.
