We're near the top of the Andes 口 January 29- Clue 4 (Return to the Village). Finishing up, casting off, blocking. 口 February 5 - Officially over! You are free to share photos of your adventure · Please, no spoiler photos as your front project photo until after the MKAL is over. Use the pattern teaser images or your yarn choices. Sign up thread is here. Size: Clue 3 is repeatable until you are happy or yarn runs out! Gauge: Item will need to be somewhat drapey, but a tighter gauge or larger yarn & needles is okay so long as your work is flexible. You will just get a cozier item. If you use finer hooks/needles or finer yarn, you will get a more delicate item. 14 stitches x 20 rows = 4 inches/10 cm sauare in stockinette stitch

Materials:

- 3 colours of at least 109 yards each DK yarn or other weight that works with your hook or needles. I used 3 skeins Mirasol Llama Una, 100% llama, 109 yards/50 grams, in Gull, Gold, and Forest. Crochet item will be somewhat smaller than knitted item if you use the same yardage - 5.5 mm/us 9 circular or long needles to accommodate many stitches CLUE 3 NOTE: 1 stitch repeat= full chart, 1 PATTERN repeat= 1 block of 3 colours. If yoU are working more Or less than 3 coloUrs, 1 colour block= 1 pattern repeat. A BLANK CHART & WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS FOR THOSE NOT WORKING3COLOURSISINCLUDEDATTHEEND,ONPAGES4AND5. Old Shale (boxed in red on chart): k2tog 3x, \*yo, k1\* 6x, k2tog 3x. worked over 18 sts. On each subsequent STITCH (aka full chart) repeat worked, you will work this 2x more. I did 2 chart repeats +1 colour block (pattern repeat). Remember, you can knit until your yarn runs out! Leave enough yarn for 1 more row + a stretchy cast-off (or enough for 3 rows). WritteninstructionsforMainCharton next page. lf you are not working 3 colours, a blank chart is included for you at the end, with alternating grey shading for you to colour in or label as you please. The same goes for the written instructions. If you are using very fine yarn, such as a lace weight, you will have to do more repeats to get a good length and wingspan. Mine was just large enough to use as a full-size shawl, after severe blocking.
