Mesh Beanie and Cloche
Cloche This is a free pattern. If you would like to make one for yourself, or for a friend, please also make one for charity. Materials: Worsted Weight yarn (shown in NoBo, an acrylic yarn that consists of a strand of sport weight and a strand of rayon ribbon.) Size L Crochet Hook Size: Ladies S/M Abbreviations: ch: chain DC: Double Crochet sl st: slip stitch
Chain 4, join with slip stitch to form a ring. Round 1: ch 4, (DC, ch 2) 5 times. Join with sl st to chain 4 space. Beanie Round 2: ch 4, DC into same ch 4 space, ch 2. \*(DC, ch 2) twice in next ch 2 space. DC, ch in next space. Repeat from \*once. DC, ch 2 in next ch 2 space. Join with sl st to chain 4 space. Round 3: ch 4, DC in same ch 4 space, ch 2. $^{\star}\mathsf{D}\mathsf{C},$ ch 2 in next ch 2 space. (DC, ch 2) twice in next ch 2 space. Repeat from \* around, ending with 1 DC in last ch 2 space. Join with sl st to chain 4 space. Round 4: ch 4, DC in same ch 4 space, ch 2. $^{\star}\mathrm{DC},$ ch 2 in next ch 2 space. (DC, ch 2) twice in next ch 2 space. DC, ch 2 in next ch 2 space. Repeat from \* around, ending with 1 DC in last ch 2 space. Join with sl st to chain 4 space. Round 5: ch 4, DC in same ch 4 space, ch 2. \*(DC, ch 2 in next ch 2 space) three times. (DC, ch 2) twice in next ch 2 space. Repeat from \* around. Join with sl st to chain 4 space. Round 6 - 11: ch 4, DC in same ch 4 space, ch 2. DC, ch 2 in each ch 2 space around. Round 12: For Cloche: ch 4, DC in same ch 4 space. Work 2 DC in each ch 2 space, and 1 DC into top of each DC in row below. Finish as for beanie. For Beanie: for the beanie, work one more row of round 6-11 for round 12. Round 13: (for cloche and beanie) work one row of reverse single crochet around.
