Size 7/4.5mm dpns Other: Tapestry needle or crochet hook Gauge: 5 sts to the inch 7 rows to the inch

Ear flaps, Make 2:

Using C1. cast on one st. Row 1:K1fbf Row 2 and all even rows: Purl all stitches. Row 3 and subsequent odd rows: K1, M1, K to last st, M1, K1. Repeat last two rows until there are 35 sts. work in st st for 24 rows. Place sts on hoider. With C2,knit across ear flap sts, cast on 25, knit across other ear flap sts, cast on 25 sts. (120 sts total) Join in the round and work 5 rounds of 1x1 rib. Work in st st with C2 until C2 section measures 3.25" - including rib. Work in st with C3 for 4.25". Decrease rounds: Round 1: K2tog across all sts. (60 sts) Round 2: K2tog across all sts. (30 sts) Round 3: K2tog across all sts. (15 sts) Round 4: K1, K2tog across remaining sts. (8 sts) Cut yarn and draw through remaining sts. Use leftover yarn to make a pom pom and attach to top. Give to your favorite Cabezon.
