Directions are given for size Small, with Medium and Large in parentheses. If only one number is given, it applies to all sizes. Materials: Peace Fleece, worsted weight wool, 8 (9, 10) skeins. Needles: Size 5 straight, and Size 6 straight and double-pointed or $16^{\circ}$ circular (or size needed to obtain gauge.) Gauge: 4 sts. $\mathbf{\omega}=\mathbf{\omega}^{\ast}$ in seed stitch on smaller needles. $$ {\mathsf{C h e s t}}=40^{\circ}\,(46^{\circ},\,52^{\circ}),\ {\mathsf{B o d y}}\ {\mathsf{l e n g t h}}=\ (20^{\circ},\,23^{\circ},\,26^{\circ}) $$ Back: With smaller needles, C0 76 (88, 96) work 9 rows in seed stitch. Next row: Knit across, increasing 38 (44 ,48) sts. evenly spaced. (inc. 1 in every $2^{n d}$ st.) 114 (132, 144) sts. total. Switch to larger needle, and purl across. Next row: Establish pattens as follows: For Size Small: Follow Chart B beginning with Row 1. For Size Medium: Work 9 sts. in seed stitch, place a marker, Follow Chart B beginning with Row 1, place a marker, then work 9 sts. in seed stitch. For Size Large: Work first 15 sts. over Chart A, Work 114 sts. over Chart B, work 15 sts. over Chart C. Continue working paterns as established, untilbody measures $1\,9^{\circ}$ (23", 25") ending so that your next row has RS facing. Next row: B0 34 (40, 45) sts.for the right shoulder, work 46 (52, 54) sts. in pattern (for back'of neck), B0 34 (40, 45) sts. for the left shoulder. Slip neck sts. onto a holder. Front: Work same as for back, until front measures 17" (21", 23") ending so that your next row has RS facing. Begin neck opening as follows: Keeping in pattern, work the first 45 (53, 58) sts. Slip the next 24 (26, 28) sts onto a holder for front neck, attach a second balilof yarn and work the remaining 45 (53, 58) sts. in pattern. Work neck decreases as follows: For Left Shoulder (work decreases only on WS rows) Keeping in pattern, start with next WS row and each WS row after that: At beginning of row,BO 3 sts. 1(1, 1) time,B0 2 sts.3 (4, 4) times, B01 st. 2 times. You willhave 34 (40,45)sts.remaining.Work even until body measures $19^{\circ}$ (23", 25") ending so that your next row has RS facing. Next row: BO all sts. in pattern. For Right Shoulder: Work decreases same as for Left shoulder, except that you willbe decreasing on RS rows. Sleeves: With smaller needle, CO 40 sts. Work 11 rows in seed stitch. Next row: Knit across, increasing 20 sts. evenly spaced.(inc.1in every $2^{n0}$ st.) (60 sts. total) Next row: Switch to larger needles and purl across. Next row: Establish patterns as follows: Work 3 sts. in seed st.,place a marker, work the center 54 sts. of Chart B beginning with Row 1, place a marker, work 3 sts. in seed st. Continue working Chart B, with beginning and end of each row in seed stitch. At the same time, increase as follows: Size Small: Inc. 1 st. at beginning and end on Row 1 of Chart B, until you have a total of 74 sts. Sizes M &L: Inc. 1 st. at beg and end on Row 1 and Row 5 of Chart B, until you have a total of (82, 90) sts. Note: All increase sts. should be worked in seed stitch. Work even, until sleeve measures 15" (16", 17"), ending so that your next row has RS facing. Next row: BO all stitches. Collar: With 16" circular needle and RS facing, PU 46 (52, 54) sts. from back neck, PU 16 (17, 18) sts. from left side of neck opening, PU 24 (26, 28) sts. from front neck, PU 16 (17, 18) sts. from right side of neck opening. 102 (112, 118) sts total. Work 10 rounds in seed stitch. Next round: Purl around. Next: Knit 10 rounds. Next round: BO all sts. loosely. Leave a $\mathtt{36^{\eta}}$ tail of yarn at the end. Finishing: Weave in loose ends and block pieces. Sew shoulder seams. Sew sleeves onto body, with braided cable centered at the shoulder seam. Sew up sleeves. Sew up sides. Fold collar to the inside, and baste it in place, using the $\mathtt{36^{\circ}}$ tail of yarn. To keep the shoulders from spreading, over time, you may want to reinforce the shoulder seams with bias tape.

Cable 4 Front: Slip the next 2 sts. onto a cable needle and hold at front, K2 from left-hand needle, K2 from cable needle. Cable 4 Back: Slip the next 2 sts. onto a cable needle and hold at back, K2 from left-hand needle, K2 from cable needle.
