Ch 34 1. Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch in the row. (33 sts) Ch 1, turn 2.The ch 1 counts as the first stitch in this row and in each row throughout the pattern. Working in the back loop only, sc in the 2nd st and in each stitch in the row. Ch 1, turn. Repeat row 2 until the piece measures 16 (18) inches. Fasten off. Using your preferred method (l used slip stitch crochet) seam the short sides and the top of the hat. (Picture 1.) Whipstich the 2 top corners together.
