not always practical here in the Southern United States. I love them, but most cold winter days, it's still just too warm when I enter a building to be wearing one. That said, very often scarves slip or miss a spot where the jacket closes, cowls drape too much to be effective... Oh, the dilemma! CHIMERA
Enter this little one skein project. It's a hybrid of a dickey and a cowl, buttons like a neck warmer and looks just like an intricate styled aran sweater when under a mostly closed jacket. It's a little bit silly and completely practical. It looks daunting, but (I hope) you should find it not too hard. The Chimera is an animal of Greek mythology. She was composed of 3 parts; a lion in front, a goat in the middle and a snake in the behind. A monster who breathed fire, she was unpredictable and of immortal origin. Now, 'm not uggesting that this pattern is ofimmortal origin, butit's certainly a mishmash of parts a bit unpredictable when you first seeit. Breathe fre? No, but it is warm. I do recommend that you remove your Chimera when you remove your coat. You don't want to look silly. ;)
