Borealis Cowl and Headband
Yarn: 2 skeins Berroco Borealis Bulky Weight Yarn- color 5099
Hook: L
Note: I used the Sedge Stitch II pattern from Basic Crochet Stitches by Erika Knight (Interweave Press) for my inspiration.
Finished Size:
Cowl: 6.5"" x 26" Headband: 3.5" x 22"
Cowl: Ch 15 (For Headband, ch 13)
Row 1: Skip 2ch (counts as 1sc), 2dc in next ch, \*skip 2ch, [1sc, 2dc] in next ch; rep from \* to last 3ch, skip 2ch, 1 sc in last ch, turn. Row 2: Ch 1 (counts as 1sc), 2 dc in first st, \* skip 2dc, [1sc, 2dc] in next sc; rep from \* to last 3 sts, skip 2dc, 1 sc in top of tch, turn. Repeat row 2 until cowl or headband measures desired length, leaving a long tail for whip stitching cowl closed.
