Two 150 yd balls size 10 crochet thread in White and 1 in Black, size E & 7 crochet hook or hook to obtain gauge, needle to take crochet thread, 3 small snaps, 20” of 1\8” wide black ribbon, sewing needle and sewing thread. GAUGE: E hook: 12 sc-dc combination sts = 2", 6 rows pattern = 1". 7 Hook: flower is 1".

PUTTING SLEEVE TOGETHER:
Sew Black Underlay to the bottom edge of the Ribbing over lapping slightly. Sew this completed section to the bottom edge of sleeve, again over lapping slightly. Sew long edges of sleeve tog-row 13-32. Pin the upper part of the sleeve into the armhole on dress matching center top and center bottoms, sew right sides tog. Rep for Other sleeve.
DRESS HEM EDGE RIBBING:

PUTTING EDGING ON HEM:
Sew Black Underlay to the bottom edge of the Ribbing over lapping slightly. Sew short ends tog to form a tube. Sew this completed section to the bottom edge of dress, again over lapping slightly. WAIST RIBBING: With White and Black threads and 7 hook rep row 1-76 of hem ribbing, fasten off BLACK WAIST UNDERLAY: ROW 1: With Black and E hook ch-75, sc 2nd ch from hook, (dc next ch, sc next ch) across to last ch, dc last ch, ch-1, turn. (74 sts) ROW 2-4: (Sc next st, dc next st) across, ch-1, turn. End row 4, fasten off. WHITE WAIST OVERLAY: ROW 1: With White and E hook ch-5, sc 2nd ch from hook, dc next, sc next, dc last ch, ch-1, turn. (4 sts) ROW 2-51: (Sc next st, dc next st) across, ch-1, turn. End row 51 fasten off. PUTTING WAIST TRIM TOGETHER:

Sew the Black Underlay to the bottom edge of the Ribbing over lapping slightly. Sew this completed section to the White overlay, again over 1 apping slightly. Sew this completed trim around dress at just below the sleeves.
COLLAR:
IE hook ch-5, sc 2nd ch from hook, dc next, sc next, dc last ch, ch-1, turn. (4 st ROW 2-41: (Sc next st, dc next st) across, ch-1, turn. End row 41 fasten off. With needle and crochet thread sew collar around neck edge. With needle and thread, sew 3 snaps down back opening of dress. Cut “ of ribbon and sew around collar's base where collar meets dress. Find center of remaining ribbon and tie a bow. Tack bow to back of dress at collar. FLOWER: With Black and 7 hook ch-4, sl st to form a ring. RND 1: (Ch-3, 2 dc, ch-3, sl st) in ring 3 times, join White, fasten off Black, (ch-4, 3 trc, ch-4, sl st) in ring twice, do not turn. RND 2: (Ch-3, work 3 hdc in next dc on next petal (black petal), 3 hdc next dc, ch-3, sl st bet next two petals) 3 times, fasten off. -make 13 flowers for dress hem, 12 flowers (6 ea sleeve) for sleeves and 8 flowers for waist. Sew around respective parts above ribing.

ROW 4: Sc ea st across, join White, fasten off Black, ch-1, turn. ROW 5: Sc ea st across, ch-1, turn. ROW 6-145: Rep row 2-5 ROW 146: Sc ea st across, fasten off. Sew short ends tog to form a lp, Sew this around hat edge at rnd 7, easing as you sew. Make 11 flowers and sew around hat above brim.
