Citrus Fruit Coasters

Hook size: G
Yarn: less than 1 skein each Lily Sugar 'n Cream (or any other $100\%$ cotton yarn) in hot pink, lime green, yellow, orange and white. Project finished size: ${\sim}4~\%^{\ast}$ diameter
Gauge: Not reall important. Adjust your hook size or yarn to get the size you want.
Pattern notes:
To change color, work last dc of first color until 2 loops remain on the hook, yarn over with second color, draw second color through to complete dc, drop first color to back of coaster and carry across, working over unused color (to hide it). Colors will be dropped and picked up throughout the $3^{\mathsf{r d}}$ round. MainColor $(\mathbb{M}\mathbf{c})=$ the color yarn for each fruit - Orange for Oranges, Yellow for Lemons, Lime Green for Limes and Pink for Grapefruit.
Pattern:
With MC yarn, ch 4, join to make ring. Round 1: ch 3 (counts as first dc), 7 dc in ring, join to $3^{\mathsf{r d}}$ ch (8 dc stitches) Round 2: ch 3 (counts as first dc), 2 dc in next 7 dc, 1 dc in last dc, join to third ch (16 dc stitches) Round 3: ch 3 (counts as first dc), 1 dc in next dc, change to white yarn (white), 1 dc in same dc, \*change to MC, 2 dc in next dc, 1 dc in next dc, (white) 1 dc in same dc, repeat from $^\star6$ times. Change to MC 1 dc in last dc, join to third ch. (32 dc stitches - 8 white, 24 MC). You wil end the round with red on the hook. Drop white yarn completely, cut and leave enough length to weave in ends. Round 4: With MC yarn, ch 2, (counts as first hdc), 1 hdc in next dc, 2 hdc in next white dc, $^\star\dagger$ hdc in next 3 MC dc, 2 hdc in next white dc, repeat from $^\star6$ times, 1 hdc in last MC dc, join to first hdc of round (40 hdc stitches). Fasten off. Round 5: Join white yarn to any MC hdc, sc in same MC hdc, sc in each MC hdc around, join to first white sc of round (40 sc stitches). Fasten off. Round 6: Join MC yarn to any white sc, sc in same white sc, sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, \*sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc, repeat from $^\star8$ times, join to first sc of round (50 sc stitches). Fasten off. Finishing: Weave in all ends. Block if necessary. Add frosty cold beverage and enjoy!
