Finished Size 28" circumference and 8.5" tall Yarn: Knitpicks Gloss DK 70% merino 30% silk. Each ball is 50 grams,123 yards # 24985 Cream. 2 balls needed for pattern and distributed by KnitPicks. Needles: Size 4 24" circular needle and size 3 24" circular. Notions: Tapestry needle and stitch marker. Gauge: 20 sts and 32 = 4" in St st. Notes: Cowl is knit from the top down in the round. Cowl:
Using size 4 needle cast on 140 sts and join in the round being careful not to twist. Rounds 1-7: Knit. Round 8: Picot Edge Stitch \*K2tog, YO; repeat from \*. Rounds 9-15: Knit. Round 16: Turn picot edge: Knit one live stitch on needle together with back loop of first cast on stitch. This joins the two together and creates a finished and turned hem edge. Round 17: K2tog, K46, K2tog, K45, K2tog, knit to end (137). Change to size 3 needle and start chart. Complete chart rows 1-24 twice. Change to size 4 needle. Round 49: M1R, K46, M1R, K45, M1R, Knit to end (140). Rounds 50-56: Knit. Round 57: Picot Edge Stitch \*K2tog, YO; repeat from \*. Rounds 58-64: Knit. Round 65: Turn picot edge: knit one live stitch on needle together with back loop of round 50. Round 66: Lace Bind Off \*K2tog tbl move stitch back to left needle and repeat.
