Flower:
Form slip knot, leaving a 6" tail

Back view Ch 4, join with sl st to form ring. Row 1: Ch 2, 9 sc in ring, join with sl st in 2nd chain of beginning ch2. Row 2: (Forming petals) Ch 2, [1 tr, 1 dc] in same space, sl st in next space, (first petal formed) \*ch 2, 1 tr, 1 dc in next sc, sl st in next sc,\* 4 times (5 petals formed), sl st in 1't ch of beginning ch-2. Fasten off, leaving a 6" tail. The finished flower should have two tails, one from the slip knot at the beginning, and one from finishing the end.
Finishing:
Using the two tails attached to the flower, tie the flower onto the beanie as shownbelow.
