Snood is connected diagonally by three repetitive patterns: stockinette stitch, ribbed knitting (knit 5, purl 1), pattern "broomstick". In the beginning and the end of a row knit 2 stitches in garter stitch. In the beginning of each right side row knit an extra stitch, in the end of this row decrease one Stitch. Finished Measurements: length 150 cm /60", width 24 cm /9" (large size); length 130 cm/51", width 24 cm/9" (medium size)

Materials:

1) Dundaga Multicolor 6/2 (275 m (108") / 100gr), 100% hair of the Latvian sheep - 160gr for large size, 140gr for medium size; 2) waste yarn in a contrasting color; 3) needles 3,5 mm (size 4); 4) tapestry needle Gauge in charted pattern: 22 sts = 10cm (4"), 28 rows = 10cm (4") Important! Edge stitch (edge st): knit the first and last stitch of every row.

Snood Scarf:

With size 4 needles, cast on 66 sts using the waste yarn in a contrasting color.

Large size:

Knit rows 1-40 by the pattern chart 1. Continue knitting rows 41-80 by the pattern chart 2. Repeat rows 2-80 twice.

Medium size:

Knit rows 1-34 by the pattern chart 3. Continue knitting rows 35-68 by the pattern chart 4. Repeat rows 2-68 twice.

Finishing:

Cut yarn leaving approximately 100cm/40" of tail. Transfer the first row on the cable needle. Remove the waste yarn. Graft the first and the last rows using Kitchener Stitch with a tapestry needle. Ensure that snood scarf is not twisted. Produce wet heat treatment.
