You'll need:

2 double-pointed needles 2,5 mm Leftover of green 4ply sock yarn Q Red wooden beads a size you like, but not to small or the I-cord wouldn't fit in Glue
Here is how it's done:
The Stem: Knit an I-cord over 4 stitches. The length depends on the size of you beads and how you like your cherry - one or two on the stem. Don't take too much thought in it. But for those of you who needs guidelines: three times the length of the bead should do fine. If making two cherries on one stem, the stem needs to be twice as long as the stem for one cherry. Sew in all ends. Make as many I-cords as you need/like cherries. Make some for one cherry and some for two cherries. The leave: The leaves are inspired by Bonnie Sennott's pattern of the “Mountain Laurel Leaf". It's a free pattern and could be found here: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/mountain-laurel-leaf I made it one repeat smaller, the widest part has therefore only 9 stitches, but otherwise it's pretty much the same. Sew in all ends at the leave point. The thread at the leave stalk will be used to attach the leave to the stem. Leave it a little bit longer - maybe about 10 Inches.
AsSembling all:
Thread one bead on small stems and two on long stems. Place them in the middle of the I-cord and put some glue on the end(s). Pull the bead(s) over the end with the glue and let it dry - one night should be enough. When everything is dry, attach the leave. If attaching one leave at two cherries fold the stem in the middle and sew it together with a few stitches while placing the leave. Sew in the remaining ends. (I made some double cherries without leave, but also sewed the stem in the middle.) Now you are done making one Cherry. Have fun making a lot!
