socks: 60 stitches, 4 ply sock yarn (e.g. Buttinette Sockli) in red-melange and offwhite short rowheel size39 knit with four needles 2,5 mm (15 stitches on each needle) Please note: Don't knit the stitches too tightly and carry the not used yarn loosely in order to get the socks wide enough! Try on the socks as soon as possible in order to find out if you are knitting not too tightly. Cross the not used yarn after 3 or 4 stitches when you're knitting more than 4 stitches of the same colour. Cast on 12 stitches with the Becker magic toe cast-on Add 4 stitches every second round until you have 60 stitches total. Add 1 round in offwhite. \*Knit peerie pattern . Peerie pattern:
Knit one round in offwhite. Knit reindeer chart.
Knit one round in offwhite. \*. Repeat once \*. Do the short row heel in red. Continue with peerie pattern after the heel in the round. Do reindeer pattern and peerie pattern twice and end with peerie pattern. Knit one round in offwhite. Knit one round in red. Do the ribbing in red 1ktbl, 1 p for 3 cm, cast off (I use the Russian bindoff) However, you can also start from top down right away with 60 stitches and do your favorite heel and toe. And certainly you can use this pattern also for a cardigan, blanket, shawl, pullover, vest or anything you like. Enjoy it!
