With 4ply yarn and size 3.00mm needles throughout cast on 22sts Row 1. K5 \*P1, K1, repeat from \* to last st. P1. Row 2. \*K1, P1, repeat from \* to last 4sts, K4.

Knit Rows 24 through 46, works as rows 22 & 23 Making a buttonhole on rows 29 and 45 Break the yarn and leave these 32sts on a pin for Left Shoulder.Finished length =5.75inches.

Right Back

Cast on 22sts as for left back Row 1. \*P1, K1, repeat from \* to last 4sts K4 Row 2. K4, \* P1, K1, repeat from \* to end. Repeat these 2 rows twice more = 6 rows altogether Main Part. Row 1. Knit Row 2. K4, Purl to end.

Rows 3 through 20, works as rows 1 & 2 Row 21. Cast on 10sts , knit to end. =32sts Rows 22 through 46 work as Rows 22 through 46 on left back, omitting the buttonholes Leave these 32sts on a pin for Right Shoulder.

Front

Cast on 40sts and work 6 rows in single rib. Main Part. Work 20 rows in stocking stitch. Row 21. Cast on 10sts and knit to the end of the row for sleeve.=50sts Row 22. Cast on 10sts for the other sleeve ,knit the first 4 sts , purl to last 4sts, Knit 4. =60sts Row23.Knit Row 24. K4, purl to the last 4sts. K4 Rows 25 through 34 ,work as rows 23 and 24. Now work the left front, Row 35. K25, turn and leave the remaining 35sts on a pin Rows 36 through 38. Continue in stocking stitch with 4 garter stitch border,Decreasing 1 st at the front neck edge on each row. =22sts Rows 39 through 46 work straight in stocking stitch with garter stitch border, break yarn and leave these 22sts on a pin for left front shoulder . From the 35sts which were left on the pin,slip the next 10sts on a new pin and keep for the centre front neck, knit the last 25sts. Rows 36 through 38. Continue in pattern as set,Decreasing 1 st at the front neck edge on each row. =22sts Rows 39 through 45, work straight in stocking stitch with garter stitch border. Now do a 3 needle bind off with corresponding 22 sts from each shoulder.(cuff to shoulder) This will leave 10sts on the back left and back right neck sections. Neckband.

Knit the 10sts from the left back, then pick up and knit 12 sts down the left front neck, knit the 10 centre sts from the pin, pick up and knit 12sts up the right front neck and knit the 10sts left on pin for right back. = 54sts. Row 1. K4, \*(K1, P1,) repeat from \* to last 4sts, K4 Rows 2 through 4, work as row 1. Cast off in garter stitch and rib. Sew up the side and sleeve seams and stitch on the buttons to correspond with the buttonholes
