Vibrant Mosaic Blanket Pattern: Susan's Random Remnants Worsted Weight Yarn Project with Crocheted Border

Susan's Random Remnants Blanket Gather your leftover worsted weight yarn, allthat you have, a pair of size 13 needles and a size I crochet hook. Pick two colors of yarn and hold the two strands doubled. Cast on 100 stitches. Knit in straight garter stitch. When one yarn color ends (or you tire of it), add a new color. Continue to work in garter until you have 225 rows. Bind off. Crochet a border three or four rows thick around the perimeter of the blanket. For the best results, do not use black or white in the body of the blanket, save those for the crocheted edge, where they will stand out and tie the blanket together visually. I also avoid browns, pinks, and greys throughout the entire blanket. While knitting the body of the blanket, it's best to not use two shades of the same color together or subsequently. For example,if you cast on with lime green and royal blue, when you come the end of the royal blue, do not add sky blue or forest green (as the lime green has not yet run out). Instead, pick up the lemon yellow and continue with that and the lime green. If you really want it to be authentic, make sure you use yellow and purple together: all mine have Uw Husky colors somewhere in them!
