A fun, fast and easy baby blanket that comes in two sizes (24 X 30), one for baby or toddler to be wrapped up in and a smaller one for baby or toddler to carry around (19 X 24). Materials: 4 skeins or 800 yards of Appalachian organic cotton washable yarn or other equivalent light worsted or dk weight yarn for the blanket and 600 yards for the carry blankie. Sample was knit with two different colors for a soft baby effect. Blanket is knit double stranded. A size 10.5/24 inch circular needle. :st (） is carry blanket size and second () is large blanket size going forward in patter Cast on: (64) or (80) stitches using a double strand yarn and work (6) or (8) rows in garter stitch. Begin and end every row with knit (4) (5). Pattern stitch: Row 1: knit (8) (10), purl (8) (10) across the row. Row 2: purl (8) (10), knit (8) (10) across the row. Repeat rows one and two (4) (5) times total. Now do the reverse. Row 1: purl (8) (10), knit (8) (10) across the row. Row 2: knit (8) (10), purl (8) (10) across the row. Repeat rows one and two (4) (5) times total. Continue repeating above pattern until you have eleven block sections. End blanket by working (6) (8) rows of garter stitch. Cast off, weave in you ends and enjoy watching your baby or grandbaby with their blankie.
