MATERIALS
4 skeins each of 4ply wool in 2 colours 4.5mm knitting needles 4.5mm crochet hook GAUGE 20 stitches and 42 rows to 10cm over garter stitch using 4.5mm needles.
INSTRUCTIONS
Square A
With one strand of yarn from each colour held together cast on 40 Stitches Rows 1-73:Knit Cast off all stitches. Repeat for 12 squares total.
Square B
With two strands of the first yarn colour held together cast on 40 Stitches Rows 1-73:Knit Cast off all stitches. Repeat for 9 squares total.
Square C
With two strands of the second yarn colour held together cast on 40 Stitches Rows 1-73:Knit Cast off all stitches. Repeat for 4 squares total. Arrange the squares in a plaid pattern as shown below and join with crochet slip stitch using one strand of each colour yarn.

Use two strands of the two main colours or a contrasting colour to crochet a scalloped edging around the blanket.
