Jesse's Square
Designer's Note: This square I designed to go into an afghan I made for Heartmade Blessings (heartmadeblessings.org). The recipient of this afghan was Jesse Shores. In October 2004, while on a ladder getting some information from something up on a pallet rack, he slipped. He hit his head on the pallet rack and fell unconscious, at least 10 feet, hitting his head on the concrete floor below. Amazingly, he survived and continues to improve. Join with sl st into top of first ch 3 Round 13 Ch 3, dc into each st around working 2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc into each corner. Join with sl st into top of first ch 3 NOTE: You can make this into a 6 inch square by working rounds 1-6 as written and then work sc in round 7 instead of dc.
