Lace Pattern:

Garter stitch for 5 rows, beginning EVERY row with sll purl-wise and ending with k3. Stockinette stitch for 11 rows beginning EVERY row with sl1 purl-wise. Garter stitch for 5 rows, beginning EVERY row with sl1 purl-wise and ending with k3. Stockinette stitch for 11 rows beginning EVERY row with sll purl-wise. DO NOT break yarn. Wet block cowl and let dry. Remove waste yarn and place live stitches onto a needle. Remove provisional cast on and place live stitches onto a needle. With right sides facing each other use a three-needle bind-off to join cowl. Or, if you prefer use the kitchener stitch.
