Finished Measurements: Wingspan: 50 in (127cm) Depth at center spine: 21in (53cm) Size can be adjusted for a larger shawl. See notes on size customization below.

Materials and Equipment:

Yarn: FiddleKnits Polka (100 grams/400 yards, 100% superwash merino) 1 skein Needles: Size 7 (4.5mm) 24" or longer circular needle or size needed to obtain gauge Tapestryneedle

Gauge:

18 stitches and 28 rows = 4"/10cm in trellis stitch pattern.

Size Customization:

Since this shawl is knit from side to side it is very easy to modify the size. The one skein sample was worked with12 repeats of the increase chart. To make a larger shawl you will need additional yarn. Work the Setup Chart, then the work complete repeats of the Increase Chart until you have used up just under half of your yarn. You may find it helpful to weigh your yarn periodically and track how much yarn is used for each repeat of the Increase Chart as you are getting close to using half your yarn. You can stop working repeats of the Increase Chart earlier earlier if the width of your knitting is the depth you want for the center back of the shawl. Then work the same number of repeats of the Decrease Chart. When you are down to 21 stitches switch to working the Final Chart. @ Catherine Berry Cathycrafter@gmail.com Page 1 of 6
