K2 tog - knit two stitches together in front loops as one stitch

Sl 1, k2 tog, psso - slip 1 stitch, knit next two stiches together, pass the slipped stitch over the knit stitch (this makes a double decrease slanting to the left). Purl three stitches together

Chart #2

Cut yarn leaving an 8" tail. Draw yarn through last stitch. Thread beads onto tail then make a tassel. To make the tassel, wind yarn 30 times around a 2" piece of cardboard. Pass an 8" piece of yarn under the wound yarn on one side of the cardboard. Tie tightly. Cut yarn at other side of cardboard. Tie another 8" piece of yarn around the tassel about 1/2 inch above the first tie. Using a tapestry or darning needle, pass the ends of both pieces of yarn into the middle of the tassel. Trim the ends evenly. Thread the yarn tail (with the beads) through the bottom of the tassel and back through the beads. Weave end into the bookmark. I like to wet block my bookmark. You could use starch, but I like the soft feel of the mohair, and it will keep your place either way :-)
