From this point, use the tail from the center of the hexagon as a marker, moving it from back to front or front to back after the last st of each round to note the starting point. Next Rnd: [2 sc into next sc] 6 times —- I2 sc. Next Rnd: [2 sc in sc, sc I] 6 times -— 18 sc. Next Rnd: [2 sc in sc, sc 2] 6 times -- 24 sc. Next Rnd: [2 sc in sc, sc 3] 6 times -- 30 sc. Forming The Scarf
Arrange the Hexagons following the diagram, and sew them together using a darning needle and MC. Sew the back loops of the edge scs of one hexagon together with it's partner hexagon. Sew both halves shown in the diagram so the G hexagons are in the center of the scarf.
Border
Round I: Starting at a center point along the length of the scarf and working with Color D, sc around the entire circumference following the guide for stitch counts. Work 3 sts into each outer corner, and sc 2 tog to join each inner corner (as shown in diagram). You should have roughly 122 sts when you finish this round. Depending on how you sewed the hexagons, there may be a bit of fudging, which is only to be expected. Enjoy it. Rnd 2:With Color B sc around the entire circ with no increasing or decreasing. Rnd 3:With Color E work around the entire circumference, increasing in the center st of each inc in round I, decreasing at each inner corner as in Round I — I70 sts. Rnd 4:WWith Color G, repeat Round 2.
