Choo!
Choo came about through inspiration from the My Milk Toof blog which is currently running a competition to make your own milk tooth.
Yarn and Notions:
- A small amount of yarn, I used a DK weight - 2.75mm needles or any to suit the yarn you're using as long as they're a few sizes smaller than what your yarn calls for so your tooth's stuffing doesn't show through. - Scrap piece of the same yarn - Tapestry needle -Stuffing - Yarn or embroidery thread for face
Pattern
Cast on 4 sts, join round Body R1 - K all R2 - \*M1, K1, M\* R3 - K all R4 - \*K1, M1, K1, M1, K1\* R5 - K all R6 - \*K2, M1, K1, M1, K2\* R7 - K all R8 - \*K3, M1, K1, M1, K3\* R9 - K all R10 - \*K4, M1, K1, M1, K4\* R11 - K all R12 - K all R13 - K all R14 - K all R15 - K all R16 - \*K2tog, K7, K2togtbl\* R17 - K all R18 - \*K2tog, K5, K2togtbl\* R19 - K all R20 - K all R21 - K all R22 - K all R23 - K all

First Foot
FF1 - K2tog, K2, place next 13 sts on scrap yarn, - for the next stitch in this round, you're going to cross the body to create a split for the two legs - K2, K2togtbl, K2tog, K3, K2togtbl FF2 -K all FF3 - K all FF4 - K all FF5 - Kitchener stitch the foot closed.
Second Foot
SF1 - Pick up the 13 stitches on three needles, 3sts, 7sts, 3sts respectively - this should mirror how you worked the first foot. Start knitting on the first of the 3sts needles, K2tog, K1, M1, now M1 across the gap in between the legs, pull tight, K1, k2togtbl, K2tog, K3, K2togtbl. SF2 -K all STUFF YOUR TOOTH AT THIS POINT SF3 - K all SF4 - K all SF5 - Kitchener stitch the foot closed. Now take an extra piece of yarn and thread it through the stuffed tooth from underneath to the centre of the top then thread it back down through again. Tie off the two ends you've got underneath, pulling very tightly to draw the centre of the top of the tooth down towards the bottom, giving it that molar like appearance. Weave in and cut off the ends. Embroider a face on your tooth and you're done! Below is my milk tooth, Choo, and the adventure he most recently had!
Choo's Big Adventure

Choo woke up feeling like today was a day for adventure.

He put on his adventuring scarf, gathered up his telescope and climed a tall tree to espy a likely adventure. Eureka!

Choo made a raft and traversed some scary river rapids!

Then be battled a terrifying beast!

Finally, Choo explored a deep, dark cave and found treasure! Hurray

Tired from his big adventure, Choo lugged his treasure home and regaled his mama and papa with his marvellous exploits. Then he had a big dinner and promptly fell asleep.
