OLD SCHOOL SPACE INVADERS SCARF

You could also knit these as 2 separate pieces and seam them together. Instructions for 2 separate pieces will be in parentheses. Double knit stitch creates a reversible, double thick piece of fabric. The technique uses two strands of yarn worked alternately on one pair of knitting needles to create a two-layer, double-sided effect. Yarn: Caron Simply Soft in black and limelight Needles: US 5
Cast on 26 stitches using your favoritecast on. Knit 4 rows (Alternate knit and purl rows for a total of 4 rows.) Begin working the chart with the tank followed by the explosion. You can then work the alien charts in any order you wish. When you have all the aliens you want for this half of the scarf, add the mothership. Knit 8 rows (Alternate knit and purl rows for a total of 8 rows.)
Repeat the mothership chart from the top down this time. Repeat the pattern of alien charts, explosion and the tank from the top down so they are facing the opposite direction of the previous half of the scarf. Knit 4 rows (Alternate knit and purl rows for a total of 4 rows.) Bind off and weave in the ends. (Repeat in opposite colors from the first piece. Seam 2 pieces together) Enjoy!
