Earth Chart for Brent Annable's Sphere by LFSAlden
This is a modest addition to the geometrifantastic “Stockinette Short-Row Sphere” by Brent Annable, found for free on his Web site: http://brentusfirmus.wordpress.com/2008/04/20/sphere-pattern/ I've simply made an intarsia chart to help you turn one of his spheres into a model of Planet Earth. I mean, every kid needs a stuffy planet, right? Begin at the International Date Line and work westward (as the sun does). I have lots of trouble withintarsia, so I used fuzzy, lingy mohair yarn. Istrongly suggest making a nice, plain version of rent's pate before doing this chart, so you can telwhat inlue blazes I'm talking about. Then, definitely print this chart out, and begin at the bottom. The Pacifc Oean is endless in a pleasant, rhythmic, sothing, 'm-almst-dne sense. Siberia is endless in a frustrating. wrap andtu,wil-ever-esap sense. m hre is ntarctica, onlybeause adding nther colr would drive m tree; please overstitch it if you can! My heartfelt thanks to Brent Annable for his gracious permission to post this chart on BirchIslandBooks.com and on Ravelry.com.
