This hat is inspired by the tendrils of the growing snow pea shoots in my Organic Garden. This hat is designed for a head circumference of 48-52 cm. It is knitted in the round with stripes of colours at the crown. It may be knitted plain if preferred. It helps to weave in the ends as you are knitting. Please refer to website for abbreviations. Materials: Pakucho Organic Cotton Main Colour (MC) Vanilla 1 skein Accent Colours Small amount of each Chocolate, Café, White, Sage, Forest, Dark Green. Set of 4.5mm double pointed knitting needles. Sewing up needle. Tension: 18st to 10cm on 4.5mm knitted in the round. Cut yarn leaving a 20cm tail. Thread sewing up needles and draw through rem st. Fasten off. Do not cut yarn. Cut 20 cm lengths of yarn and braid them, knotting the ends. Thread through the top of hat at even intervalstoformtendrils. Alternatives: 1) Make pom pom, attach to top of hat or 2) using the 7 st, decrease in next row to 4 st by k2tog 3 times, k1, then knit 4 st l-cord for 5 cm.
